Roadside Bombs – Rise Up

Hailing from Sonoma, California The Roadside Bombs have been playing melodic and catchy as hell punk rock for nearly 10 years and seem to be getter better if their second album ‘Rise Up’ is anything to go by. ‘Rise Up’ comes three years after their debut ‘My Side Of Town’ and features 11 adrenalin fuelled songs that are guaranteed to get you singing along.

The Roadside Bombs are not afraid to cover some serious subjects and this album is full of them such as addiction, racism, class war, the election but they do it in an accessible way that will get you singing along with them. This album may only be 26 minutes long but from the first track ‘Lookin’ I know I’m in for a treat and gems such as ‘War on Love’, ‘Fade Away’, ‘Rise Up’, and ‘Election Day’ go on to prove this.

‘Rise Up’ is an incredibly enjoyable album and I can’t wait to see them perform live at next year’s Rebellion Festival. If you’re fans of bands like The Briefs and The Bodies I would recommend adding this to your collection.
